1. What graphic software are you working with?
We are running Adobe Design Collection under Windows XP. Adobe Design Collection include Photoshop 6, Illustrator 10, InDesign 2 and Acrobat 5.
2. What are your preferred output file formats?
We can produce any of the most popular file formats - EPS, PDF, AI, PSD, DCS, TIFF, JPG. We will produce your design project in the format your printing house prefer.
3. Are you able to use PANTONE spot colors?
Yes. We have full support for PANTONE colors.
4. Are you able to produce a HEXACHROME color file?
No. For now we do not offer HEXACHROME support.
5. Can you produce a high resolution CMYK PDF file that is suitable for color separating and offset printing?
Yes.
We recommend all our customers to use PDF files. PDF is the most portable and platform independent file format. We achieve excellent results using PDF files. It is small sized and color accurate, but you will need PostScript Level 3 output device to color separate directly a PDF. The other option is to import the PDF in InDesign or Illustrator and color separate it there.
6.Are you running CorelDraw and have you support for CorelDraw files?
No. We are not using CorelDraw. But we can open SINGLE page CorelDraw files WITHOUT special effects in Illustrator. All Corel effects are ignored by Illustrator.
7. What fonts are you using?
We use OpenType and Adobe Type 1 (PostScript) fonts to eliminate problems when a file is outputted or transferred to another computer.
8. Is there a chance for the file you produce to have font mismatching problems?
No.
We convert all fonts to outlines (vectors) to assure correct output. Large documents (books, catalogues etc.) are exported as PDF with fonts included. We often export pages as separate EPS files with font included or converted to outlines.
9. Is there a chance the file you produce to have color representation problems?
It is possible, especially if you were ordered a CMYK TIFF file. CMYK TIFFs frequently make color problems when changing platform (Windows->Mac or the reverse). If you really need CMYK file, we recommend you a color managed DCS (desktop color separation) file which is much more accurate - in fact it is a ready color-separated file.
In all cases we will stay in contact with you and make the appropriate changes, if needed.
10. I cannot open the file you produced on my computer. Why?
In 95% of the cases we make EPS or PDF files. To open an EPS you need a special program - Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw (may be a problem) or some other. For PREVIEW ONLY you can rasterize the EPS in Photoshop.
For viewing PDF you need Adobe Acrobat or Illustrator. The free Acrobat Reader may be downloaded from the Adobe web site - www.adobe.com
1. What kind of web sites do you produce?
We produce HTML and DHTML sites.
2. Why don't you recommend FLASH based sites?
The FLASH is a future technology. For now HTML is still the best choice. Why? Because the search engines don't understand FLASH. A FLASH based site is a blank page for the search engines and it is normal that they will not index it. And you tell me then why having a cool looking FLASH based web site that now one can find?
3. Do you offer site promotion?
No. There are several specialized companies that will do a nice job for you.
4. How will I receive my ready to upload web site?
If the entire size of the web site is under 5Mb (95% of the cases) we will send it by e-mail as an attached ZIP archive. If your www site is oversized, we will send it on CD by ordinary mail.
5. What browsers are you optimizing sites for?
We take care for your web site to look perfectly in Internet Explorer 4+ and Netscape Navigator 6+. These browsers have 98% of all Internet hits, so the others are not crucial. MS Internet Explorer has about 90% all internet hits, so we think it's the most important and we pay it attention first of all.
6. Do you offer search engines optimization (SEO)?
Yes. SEO is very important if you want to get maximum traffic from search engines. We optimize not only META tags, but the entire site content and structure to get higher ranking in search engines.
Going on the payment page you can chose SEO option. If you order a package from our SPECIAL OFFERS page, it will include SEO with no additional fee.
7. Do you use CSS?
Of course! It is the most powerful web design instrument with HTML sites. Cascading Style Sheets technology offers the opportunity to make complicated layouts without increasing the files size.
8. Will you upload my site?
No, and this is the final answer. To upload your site we will need your server (FTP) username and password that must be unacceptable for you. The best decision is to upload the site yourself or use the services of a confidant.
1. The CD photos look great at my screen, but are they good enough for printing on the pages of a quality magazine ?
Yes. We use top quality Canon equipment to produce top quality results. The photos we offer are world class quality. They have full dynamic range, excellent sharpness and perfect color balance.
2. What is the maximum print size I can get from these photos?
You can print these photos
in size up to A3 size on a inkjet printer and up to A4/Letter size on an offset printing machine WITH HIGHEST QUALITY.
Going a little bit out of limits, we can achieve very good quality on offset press in size up to 35x50 cm. We do not recommend you to do so if you are not familiar with photo manipulation and pre press rules.
3. What is the copyright policy for the photo collections you offer?
All the photos we offer are ROYALTY FREE. This means that once you purchased the photos from us, you can use them wherever and whenever you want.
4. Can I resell CDs with photos that I just purchased from you?
No. It's illegal to RESELL or RENT the photos.
5. Can you produce special photographs by order?
Yes. We can shoot special photos for you, but not any kind of photos. Contact us if you need special photos and we will do our best to produce them.
6. Need I to do additional adjustments to the photos or I can use them directly in a project for offset printing.
All the photos are passed levels and color adjustment and in most cases they shall only be converted to CMYK. And yet, you can do additional adjustments to produce custom results or special effects. It is recommended to apply an unsharp mask after the CMYK conversion.
7. Need I to adjust the photos before printing them on a inkjet printer?
No. Inkjet printers produce better results with RGB color. Note, that different kinds of paper can produce dramatically different results, so you must find the best paper for your printer.
8. I don't need an entire photo collection, but just two or three photos. Can I order single photos?
Yes. Clicking on the SINGLE PHOTO PURCHASE will transmit you to a secure payment page, where you specify the number of photos, the name of the CD and the ID NUMBER (the number under the photo thumbnail) of each photo you want to buy. A single purchase is limited to maximum 3 photos, but there is no limitation for the number of the purchases. If you choose to purchase single photos, they'll be delivered to you by e-mail in 48 hrs.
